The Universities of Zaragoza and Savoie Mont Blanc, the hosts of two important meetings for the progress of the European university alliance UNITA

In a joint effort to continue to innovate in Education and develop university communities within our European University Alliance, the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (France) hosted two key working meetings for the future of UNITA. These meetings brought together over 100 participants each, creating an intense framework for collaboration and exchange of ideas over two action-packed days. The participants had the opportunity to share information and best practices regarding the progress of the first months of the alliance's activity, as well as to determine future directions in the consolidation phase and in the extended formula, with 10 partners higher education institutions and 2 associated partners institutions Higher Education.

The "Developing UNITA Communities" event, hosted by the University of Zaragoza, focused on the following topics: mobility for students, administrative and academic staff; plurilingualism, Romance language learning and intercomprehension; strengthening the UNITA community in education, research and innovation; sustainable policies for students and staff and last but not least European citizenship. The agenda of the event was dense and, together with over 100 colleagues from the 12 universities, relevant elements were discussed that make a strong contribution to the development process of the UNITA communities that will form the basis of the UNITA European University.

At the same time, at the Savoie Mont Blanc University, more than 100 other actors engaged in UNITA-branded activities participated in the meeting of the "Lifelong Education" working group, an opportunity for alliance members to engage in discussions and collaborations on common for the future of education. During the two days, the focus was on developing initiatives to internationalize study programs and creating continuous learning opportunities, as well as transforming learning through innovative, multilingual and personalized experiences. Strategies regarding UNITA micro-certifications and innovation of teaching methods were also discussed. A major focus was the discussions regarding UNITA's inter-university Virtual Campus, designed to support continuous, borderless learning experiences.
