Department of Psychology – West University of Timișoara (WUT)

The Department of Psychology at the West University of Timișoara (WUT) and its Psychology Research Center (found as Centrul de Studii și Cercetări Psihologice din Timișoara on https://eertis.eu) play an important role in advancing both educational and research activities. With specialized resources like psychometric tools, biofeedback systems, EEG devices, and data analysis software, WUT’s research infrastructure is exceptionally suited for comprehensive studies on stress, behavior, and cognition. Its focus on diverse psychological methods supports complementary initiatives with partner institutions by contributing unique resources for both clinical and experimental psychology.

Central to WUT’s infrastructure is the e-cbt.ro platform (https://e-cbt.ro/en), a versatile online system supporting psychotherapy delivery and psychological research. The platform’s compliance with European standards ensures secure and quality-controlled clinical and research applications. 

In addition, Transilvania University’s IT team, as a collaborative extension of the WUT team, provides high-performance infrastructure suited to advanced computational needs in psychological research. This includes a Dell PowerEdge R740 server with GPU support for machine learning models, along with workstations configured for intensive data processing and model development. The combination of these resources fosters strong synergies with partner institutions by offering the technical foundation for advanced computational and analytical research in psychology.
