Project Objectives
O1: Developing a set of Process-Based Therapy (PBT) modules as the foundation for the PRECISE-CARE service. This collection of evidence-based modules will be designed with flexibility and modularity to allow the intervention personalization based on the specific processes needed by each participant.
O2: Designing, training, testing, and comparing various Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to predict treatment evolution of participants undergoing online interventions. These algorithms will be trained on data from previous internet-delivered programs and fine-tuned for personalization of therapy.
O3: Testing and validating the integrated PRECISE-CARE Services using an Open Trial (anticipated N = 30), and a Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) (anticipated N = 200). Through rigorous testing, we will assess the service efficacy in personalizing, with a focus on vulnerable and underserved populations.
O4: Training at least 50 mental health professionals (psychologists from Moldova and Romania) in delivering PRECISE-CARE services. This training will equip them with the skills to use the PBT modules (standard and tailored versions), the online platform, and the predictive ML models in clinical practice.
O5: Disseminating the project’s results through scientific publications, media channels, and conferences. Additionally, materials such as the therapy modules and additional training resources for mental health practitioners will be made available to ensure broader accessibility and impact.
As far as we know, to date, there are no Precision MH services in Romania or Moldova. All of the above objectives can significantly advance the field of precision mental health by proposing an innovative technological solution and developing a novel intervention service.
