Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists (2021-2022)

· Postdoctoral Scholarships are available for highly qualified postdoctoral researchers at the beginning of their academic career from all academic fields. Duration of this scholarship is 12 months.

· Research Fellowships are available for highly qualified postgraduate researchers from all academic fields. Duration of this scholarship is 12 months.

· Art Scholarship is offered for highly qualified young artists from all artistic fields. These scholarships are only offered to students from a limited number of countries only. There are included countries with which Switzerland has reciprocity agreements for art scholarships. Duration of this scholarship is 12 months prolongable up to 21 months.

Scholarship recipients will receive:

- A monthly payment of CHF 1920 (1776.86 Eur).

- CHF 300 (277.63 Eur) housing allowance (paid once at the beginning of the scholarship)

- One-year half-fare public transportation card

- For non-EU and non-EFTA grantees only: the FCS pays mandatory Swiss health insurance and a flight allowance for a ticket back to their country of origin ( (provided at the end of the scholarship)

- Support services and various trips, dinners and sightseeing tours organised for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship holders.
