West Summer University (WSU), the summer school for students, organized at the West University of Timișoara (UVT), which simulates all aspects of student life, will take place this year between 22.07.2021 and 08.08.2021, in Timișoara , and registrations are open until 07.07.2021, by accessing the website www.wsu.osut.ro.
Students from all over the country have the opportunity to experience student life for two weeks, participating in introductory educational activities supported by university teachers, for each field of study of the 11 faculties of the Western University of Timișoara, in counseling activities and career guidance prepared by the specialists of the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) from UVT, to non-formal education and personal development activities, as well as to cultural, recreational and socialization activities, through which they will discover all the secrets of the Timișoara University Center . In this way, the project aims to contribute to the reduction of university dropout by supporting students to make informed and responsible decisions about continuing their studies in university education.
Although we are still going through an unprecedented context, at WSU #CeaMaiTareVăra will take place in the safest conditions!
Thus, high school students who have been vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2021 virus with both doses until 2 at the latest are eligible to enroll in the 12.07.2021 edition of West Summer University. All activities will be carried out in optimal conditions, in compliance with the public health norms in force at the time of the event.
Students studying at eligible high schools for funding within The program for Secondary Education ROSE attending West Summer University is free, ensuring accommodation, meals and attendance at all activities for the entire duration of the project.
For students studying at high schools ineligible for funding under the ROSE program, the participation fee will be 150 lei and will cover accommodation, meals and attendance at all activities throughout the duration of the project.

West Summer University is part of the complex series of activities that the West University of Timișoara addresses to students and the pre-university environment, but also through which it aims to contribute to combating university dropout. For 2 weeks, in Timișoara, students from all over the country will discover all the secrets of student life and get a clear idea of the field of study they want to pursue at university level, discovering their skills and interests with the support of teaching staff and UVT advisors. All in safe conditions, in compliance with the public health regulations in force and being vaccinated, so as not to be subjected to any risk.
