The third edition of the "Diplomatic Skills for CSDP" course, organized outside Romania, takes place from April 8 to 10 in Larnaca, Cyprus. The course is organized by the Cyprus Academy for Security and Defense in cooperation with the Western University of Timișoara, together with the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Cyprus, under the auspices of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC) of the EU. 25 specialists in the field of diplomacy and defense from nine EU member states are participating in this edition.
The initial course, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Silviu Rogobete, was designed by UVT and is now an integral part of the continuous training programs offered by ESDC. The next edition will take place in Timisoara, in December of this year.
The European Security and Defense College (ESDC) was established in 2005, with the aim of providing educational programs at a strategic level for the European security and defense policy, embodied in the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). EU Member States participate through a voluntary effort in this training structure for European security and defense specialists, which includes civil servants, diplomats, police officers and military personnel from EU Member States and EU institutions involved in the CSDP.
