The most prestigious student competition in Europe on topics of public international law - Telders International Law Moot Court Competition - organized by Leiden University (Netherlands), took place, in virtual format, from June 7 to 12, 2021. In the international stage they competed 32 teams, including that of the Faculty of Law within UVT.
The competition consisted of a simulation of the proceedings before the International Court of Justice, in which the participating teams presented the arguments of the parties in a case concerning jurisdictional immunities, environmental protection and foreign investment protection.
The Timișoara Faculty of Law team, composed of students Sara Onofrei, Daniel Sporea, Tania Velcsov (XNUMXnd year) and Mihai Șevciuc (XNUMXrd year), won first place in the ranking of oral pleadings for applicants (Best Oral Argumentation on behalf of the Applicant) and XNUMXth place in the consolidated ranking of claimants.
