At the Western University of Timișoara, the meeting "Strategic Partners Group – GPS UVT", for a new work session at the end of the year. This independent advisory structure of UVT adapts and promotes its public role as a trainer in education and as a center for strategic thinking in the community.
The agenda of the debates included both an assessment of this year's projects and the selection of proposals for the specific agenda of next year. Also, GPS UVT appointed a new president with an annual mandate, Mr. Adrian Bădescu – CEO of Medici's Clinics, was appointed by the vote of the members.
Regarding the specific agenda for 2023, the UVT GPS consultative structure adopted a sequence of priorities and projects, the most important being:
- Conference "Smart - Diaspora 2023" - Diaspora in higher education, science, innovation and entrepreneurship. Diaspora and its friends.
- 2023 – At UVT, Culture is capital! – an extensive program of cultural events and conferences, created and promoted by the UVT academic community.
- Covering the area of responsibility related to the organization of events within the "Reflection Station", belonging to the cultural program TM2023: dialogues, debates, conferences, artist talks, workshops, exhibitions, classical music and theater performances.
- Projects specific to the educational and research sphere, but also the development of the integrated platform of internships / internships / job offers (cariere.e-uvt.ro), to aggregate the lines of communication intended for students, in which the links between students, tutors and employers.
During the event, the rector of UVT, prof. Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea emphasized: "Strategic Partners Group – GPS UVT achieves its mission of a abrings the local community to the forefront of its academic concerns and accelerates the implementation of projects better aligned with the needs of the Timisoara public space. In 2023, we will advance several projects aimed at the TM2023 calendar, but also at practical education, a series of concerns in which the best ideas and measures dedicated to the quality of life in Timișoara will be concentrated. There will be a better integration between the interests and resources of the UVT, together with the local public administration and the stakeholders in the community, with the general objective of developing the city and the western region."
