We are very happy to announce the receipt of a particularly valuable award by university conf. Dr. Almaşi Gabriel-Vicentiu, from the Faculty of Music and Theater of the Western University of Timișoara.

List announcement winners of the Romanian Academy Awards for 2020 brought this honorable confirmation of the value of the Timișoara musical school, by winning the "George Enescu" award by master Gabriel-Vicentiu Almaşi, awarded in the Arts, Architecture and Audiovisual section.

The distinction was awarded to the composer Gabriel Almași for his work "Themes/Anthemes". This Opus, also awarded by the Union of Composers and Musicologists from Romania in 2021, is dedicated to the city of Timișoara, and the first audition took place on February 28, 2020, at the "Banatul" Philharmonic.

The Romanian Academy Awards ceremony will take place tomorrow, December 7, 2022, in the Romanian Academy Hall, starting at 10 a.m.
