The July 2021 admission session at the Western University of Timișoara registered a high interest of candidates for the vast majority of study programs. Despite the fact that the number of graduates of the baccalaureate exam decreased in 2021 by almost 8% compared to the previous year, the number of students enrolled at UVT after the July 2021 admission session is similar to that of 2020.
Today opens the autumn session of the admission process, carried out under the sign of UVT's emphasis on the quality of students, not their number. Our goal has always been to attract the best young people to become UVT students. In the grid of places available in this admission session, there are also 165 places financed from the state budget available for the cycle of undergraduate university studies, as well as almost 800 places financed from the state budget available for the cycle of university studies of master's degree, along with a significant number of fee-paying places, for the two cycles of university studies. UVT supports the principle of equity and supports candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds to have access to university studies, so this year too, places were offered specially allocated to candidates graduating from high schools in rural areas, to candidates of Roma ethnicity, but also to candidates from from placement centers. Moreover, it is well known that UVT is attentive to the needs of all its students, offering each year a significant number of scholarships from its own income, but also tuition or accommodation fee exemptions for all young people who want to study but have difficulties materials. In addition, to ensure that all applicants have made informed decisions about the university study program they will follow and are as well informed as possible about the opportunities available to them, we have made available to them free career counseling services .
