Prose writer Radu Pavel Gheo – Public reading in the SPENS center in Novi Sad (Serbia)

On September 17, 2022, the prose writer Radu Pavel Gheo, university lecturer at the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology of the Western University in Timișoara, gave a public reading in the SPENS center in Novi Sad (Serbia), in parallel with six others invited authors from the European cultural space.

The event, held under the title Noć Književnosti ("Night of Literature"), was organized at the initiative of the Novi Sad branch of the French Institute in Serbia, the group of cultural institutes from the countries of the European Union - EUNIC Serbia and the Cultural Foundation "Novi Sad Cultural Capital European", being included in the "Kaleidoscope of Culture" event, which lasts until October 7, 2022.

Radu Pavel Gheo presented his novel to the public in Serbia Disco Titanic, translated into Serbian by Ljubinka Perinac-Stankov and published at the end of 2021 by Partizanska Kniga publishing house in Kikinda. The three readings of the evening, scheduled for the afternoon of September 17, between 17.00 and 20.00, were given in Serbian by an actress from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in three different spaces in the SPENS center and alternated with discussions between the author and the reading public. The author's dialogue with readers from Novi Sad was moderated by Vladislava Gordić-Petković, university professor at the Department of English and American Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.

The Romanian author's participation in this traditional event in Novi Sad was carried out with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Romanian Embassy in Belgrade.
