The #OccupyTheUniversity tradition continues in 2022, celebrating a new academic year, in the style already established by UNIVIBES by UVT.
The sixth edition of the only music festival organized in a university brought 3 stages, a mix of musical genres, rhythms to the premises of the central headquarters of the Western University in Timișoara, for a perfect start to the academic year electric, acoustic, rock, blues or d'n'b, videomapping, screenings of short films, games & activities, food & drinks areas, all this for students, the academic community and the public from Timisoara.
On Monday, October 3, 2022, the biggest party of the fall – UNIVIBES by UVT – had the following program:
Pe The Energy Stage (the parking lot in front of the UVT headquarters) went up: ZoleeVee, Raven's Heart, FC DNB (Gojira & Planet H feat. Psychotrop) and Alternosfera, while on Feeling Stage (courtyard behind the UVT headquarters, next to the basketball court) KiNDLEiN, Amalia Gaita, Ada Milea & Bobo Burlăcianu performed.
Vibration Stage (second inner courtyard from the right of the UVT headquarters) was livened up by DJ Cra, George Allen, DJ K-LU and DJ Kuky.
In the area Cinema Stage ("Ioan Mihai" Amphitheater - ground floor, UVT headquarters) took place screenings of short films by the students of the "Ion Luca Caragiale" National University of Theater Arts and Cinematography from Bucharest (UNATC), and Board Games Yard (inner courtyard, lobby left side, UVT headquarters) it was a socializing place for board game enthusiasts.
The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "The Western University of Timișoara, a university of European alliances, opens its year with a vibe full of energy. For several years, we have become accustomed to guiding the newest students, the first-year "freshmen", among the musical, artistic and cultural milestones of the university, all offered through this unique festival. UNIVIBES by UVT is a festival dedicated to students, but also to the Timisoara community".
