The UVT-Devron West Cycling Team was present at the stage held in Agnita, within the National Road Championship 2023, where it participated in the two stages, individual time trial and long distance.
In the time trial stage, UVT-Devron West Cycling Team cyclists achieved meritorious rankings:
- 1st place – Alexandra – Iuliana Cioclu (juniors F) and the title of Romanian Champion in this event;
- 2nd place – Natalia Mănescu (U23F) and the title of national vice-champion in the category;
- 2nd place – Georgeta Ungureanu (EliteF) and the title of national vice-champion in the category;
- 3rd place – Darabant Noelle (EliteF);
- 3rd place – Mădălin Gaita (Master1).
In the cross-country event, the team mobilized, and the results confirmed the form of the athletes, with two more national champion titles obtained, through Alexandra - Iuliana Cioclu, in Junior F, and Georgeta Ungureanu, in Elite. Mădălin Gaita also climbed the podium, in 3rd place, Master 1 category. Congratulations deserve to go to all the riders from the Elite and U23 categories, for the perseverance with which they fought until the end, not only for obtaining the times on the route of 170 km, but also to face the cold rain, which accompanied the cyclists for more than 80 kilometers of the route.
The UVT-Devron West Cycling Team consists of Ungureanu Georgeta, Alexandra Cioclu, Natalia Mănescu, Darabant Noelle, Mihai Băbăiță, Emil Chepetan, Alin Toader, Erick Lorincz Rogoz, Mădălin Gaiță, Vlad Remzing, David Urs, a technically prepared batch of coach Alex - Drilea Apetrei, with the support of the producer Devron Romania, with the West University of Timișoara, Smartfit, the Cardioprevent Foundation, the Romanian Association of Yumeiho, as well as the technical staff formed by Carmen Băbăiță, Radu Hăulică, Camelia Chepețan and Iulian Cioclu .
