Doctor Honoris Causa Scientiarum

Professor Beck was among the first to anticipate the role of smart contracts in the creation of digital currencies and national blockchain systems. Also, his lordship predicted and outlined the field of research aimed at pro-active autonomous systems, a field that could be called using a term proposed in his lordship's works as the next generation in digitization. His Lordship understood the relevance of a decentralized approach, one that supports the definition and implementation of decentralized business models in networks where value can be created and preserved.
