The Western University of Timișoara, the Senghor Chair of UVT and the International Network of Senghor Chairs of Francophonie (RICSF) invite you to the events of the General Assembly of RICSF members, which will take place between October 11-13, 2023, in Timișoara.

The RICSF General Assembly and associated events enjoy this year the high patronage of the French Embassy in Romania.

The opening ceremony will take place on the morning of October 11, at the headquarters of the West University in Timișoara, and will bring together members of the network and guests from the academic, diplomatic, economic and administrative Francophone environments.

On this occasion, on October 11, 2023, the RICSF Scientific Day will also take place, with a strong interdisciplinary component, this year focusing on the theme "Géopolitéques des Francophonies: identités, solidarités, globales et régionales cooperations".

It is a conference open to both members and outsiders, Francophone specialists and diplomats interested in the place and role of Francophonie in this changing world.

Created in 2002 at the initiative of Rector Michel Guillou, the International Network of Senghor Chairs of the Francophonie is a very active inter-university structure of the international Francophonie that currently brings together 24 member universities from all continents. The Senghor Chair of the Western University of Timișoara has been an active member of RICSF for years and provides the vice-presidency of the network.
