Plato is one of the most influential and studied philosophers in history. His dialogues shaped Western culture and sparked the interest of many other writers.
What can Plato teach us about our lives today? How can we be inspired by the thinking of this remarkable philosopher?
We invite you to participate in a philosophical dialogue with Andrei Cornea, one of the most important and most appreciated specialists in ancient philosophy in Romania. Andrei Cornea is the author of numerous books and articles about Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Epicurus and other ancient thinkers. He is also known for the complete translation into Romanian of Plato's "Politeia" dialogue. Andrei Cornea is a professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Bucharest and a permanent contributor to 22 magazine.
The dialogue will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 18:00, in the A01 Amphitheater of the Western University of Timișoara and will be moderated by Mircea Mihăieș, literary critic, essayist and publicist.
