The Western University of Timișoara is happy to have the intellectual Andrei Pleșu as a guest in the conference series At UVT, Culture is Capital.
"Thematic Abyss: What Questions Are Humanities Researchers Still Asking Today?" is the topic of thought that the writer, philosopher and art critic proposes to us on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 18:00.
The conference will engage in an engaging way the peculiarities of human nature and will precisely raise many questions and topics for future conversations. The moderator of the event will be the writer and literary critic Mircea Mihăieș.
Andrei Gabriel Pleșu is a Romanian writer and essayist, esthetician and art historian, stylist of the Romanian language. He was the Minister of Culture (28 December 1989 – 16 October 1991) in the Government of Petre Roman and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of Radu Vasile (29 December 1997-22 December 1999).
The event is included in the Cultural Program "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture", Oameni territory, Reflectiţi station, financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center, co-financed by the Timiș County Council.
