What are the average incomes of a Romanian student? What are the general characteristics of a scholarship student? What proportion of students work while in college and how does this affect their study experience?
We are trying to find the answer to these questions and many others in the period May-June 2023, when there is an extensive research on the living and study conditions of students in Romania, through the EUROSTUDENT VIII questionnaire.
EUROSTUDENT is a transnational research whose main objective is to collect data on the social and economic conditions of students in Europe, in about 30 countries. The students are asked about their living and study conditions, the time budget allocated to educational activities, the situation on the labor market, income and expenses, but also about the internships and international mobilities completed. National data are then centralized at European level and presented comparatively. The national implementation of the study is coordinated by the Ministry of Education (ME), through the Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI) and the National Center for Policies and Evaluation in Education - the Education Research Unit (CNPEE-UCE) .
If you are a bachelor's or master's student in a state or private university, you will receive by e-mail during this period an invitation to complete the EUROSTUDENT questionnaire, which please do not ignore, as it is a useful opportunity to make your voice heard and provide political decision-makers with relevant information regarding student life in Romania!
More details about the study, as well as the results of previous waves of implementation, are available at http://eurostudent.uefiscdi.ro/, https://www.eurostudent.eu/ and https://database.eurostudent.eu/drm/.
