The Western University of Timișoara marks the end of the project implementation period "Support Center for participation in international projects - SupportTM" by holding a conference, Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Implemented between April 2020 and June 2023, the SupportTM project is co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020 within the call for projects POC/80/1/2 - Creating synergies with research, development actions and innovation of the ORIZONT 2020 framework program of the European Union and other international research, development and innovation programs. The project had as its general objective the creation of a Support Center at the Western University of Timișoara, whose mission was to increase the university's capacity to participate in European competitions, especially those that finance international research, development and innovation projects and other entities that request support in this regard, through measures to support, facilitate and train in terms of access to information, identification of partners and development of funding applications.
The closing conference will take place between 8:30 and 10:30, in the A01 amphitheater of the main building of the West University in Timișoara (Vasile Pârvan bld. no. 4). During the event, the main results of the SupportTM project will be presented, the impact it had during the years of implementation, as well as the project's contribution to the development and access to research-development-innovation projects for private entities from the perspective of the SupportTM center partners.
Total project value: 2,939,518.00 lei.
Non-refundable eligible value from ERDF/FC/FSE/ILMT: 2.494.765,30 lei (85%).
The eligible non-refundable amount from the national budget: 440.252,70 lei (15%).
Among the main results of the project we list:
- Publication of 33 electronic newsletters containing information necessary for the preparation of project proposals with European funding.
- Identification of 95 local and regional entities interested and eligible to participate in calls for projects funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020/Europe Program and other international R&D programs. The SupportTM Center facilitated the creation of synergies between them, resulting in an active community in terms of opportunities to participate in European competitions by concluding 34 partnerships.
- Building and maintaining a register of local and regional entities interested in participating in European competitions. SupportTM has created a database containing relevant information on the areas of interest and skills of the 95 entities it has identified as potential eligible applicants.
- The holding of information sessions is one of the most successful results of the project. During the three years of implementation, SupportTM organized 8 information sessions, taking place in situ or online, with over 406 participants.
- Organization and running of 8 workshops with over 253 participants and 8 applied work sessions with over 381 participants, taking place in situ or online.
- Diversification of the participation offer of the Western University of Timișoara and its partners (academic, research or socio-economic partners) in European competitions.
- Support in drafting and submitting 39 funding applications.
