The Western University of Timisoara, through the Department for Teaching Staff Training, will organize the ninth edition of the National Conference "Culture and education today", project financed by the Timiș County Council through the "TimCultura 2023" grant program. The event will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in a hybrid format, with the participation of over 250 pupils, students, doctoral students and teaching staff from the pre-university and university environment in the country announced.
The conference aims to bring together theorists, practitioners and students in the field of teacher training in a common space, in order to identify solutions for improving, consolidating and implementing good practices in teacher training. At the opening of the conference, in the A11 Amphitheater of the Western University of Timișoara, the vice-rector of the Western University of Timișoara, prof. dr. Mădălin Bunoiu, president of the CJ Timiș, Alin-Adrian Nica, general school inspector IȘJ Timiș, prof. Aura Danielescu, director of DPPD – UVT, prof. univ. skilled dr. Marian D. Ilie and the president of OSUT, Roxana Matei.
In the plenary of the conference, four communications will be presented with the theme of teaching and examples of good practice. The work of the conference will continue with five thematic workshops in which the 18 sequences filmed during the activities carried out by the participants with the students and the projects of the filmed lessons will be presented, analyzed and discussed. From these 18 lesson projects with a filmed sequence, in the last part of the conference the 10 most valuable projects will be awarded, which were previously evaluated and classified by specialists of the Education Research Unit of the National Center for Policy and Evaluation in Education from the Ministry of Education and Research.
