Between March 4 and 8, 2024, a group of seven students majoring in Languages and Literatures (German – English/ English – German), Applied Modern Languages (German – English) and German in a European context – interdisciplinary and multicultural studies from the Faculty of Letters , History and Theology, accompanied by lect. Dr. Mihaela Şandor and lect. Austria Christoph Flechl participated in the BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) ERASMUS+ intensive program Kultur, Geschichte und Architektur in interkultureller Perspektive: Warschau und Wrocɫaw in Warsaw and Wrocɫaw (Poland). The program brought together students and teaching staff from the Institute of German Studies of the University of Warsaw/Poland, from the Foreign Language Center of the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar/Germany and from the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology of the Western University of Timișoara .
ERASMUS+ BIP project Kultur, Geschichte und Architektur in interkultureller Perspektive: Warschau und Wrocɫaw started with two online meetings (February 19 and 27, 2024), during which the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other, present their universities and favorite places in the university cities, get to know the physical mobility program and form the work teams for the activities and workshops that were to take place in Warsaw and Wrocɫaw.
Between March 4-8, 2024, the 38 students from the three university centers participated in various activities and workshops in German prepared by the teaching staff participating in the BIP (language contact, creative writing, script writing, history tour, architecture tour ), visited a number of museums and tourist attractions in the cities of Warsaw and Wrocɫaw, having to solve – in teams – various tasks (e.g. in Warsaw: Ɫazienki Park, Prague Quarter, Old Town, University Museum, Palace of Culture and Science, Neon Museum, Polin Jewish Museum, in Wrocɫaw: University, University Museum/ Aula Leopoldina/ Mathematical Tower, Panorama Round Racɫawicka, Centenary Hall, Rynek/ Central Square, WUWA Quarter, Hydropolis Museum, Hala Targowa, Alternative Quarter Nadodrze, etc.) , they discovered Polish culinary specialties, made friends and made plans for the next meetings that will take place in Timisoara and Weimar.
