The adventure of events that marked the 30th anniversary of the reopening of the Faculty of Arts and Design within UVT ended on May 28, 2021, with the end of the ARTE30 exhibition, organized by FAD in Paris and supported by Mr. Paul Amarica, in the personal gallery of Rue Washington.
The event took place 30+1 years ago, with a postponement due to special pandemic conditions. Practically, the simezes offered the public, for a much longer time, the opportunity to view the painting works signed by prof. Dr. Cristian Sida and the artists, UVT alumni, Robert Koteles and Popa Laurian.
The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "This project is one of the "soul" of UVT, on the 30th anniversary of the resumption of studies at the Faculty of Arts and Design. I came with an exhibition to Paris, but it is not a unique project, as UVT, through artists, graduates, alumni, teaching staff, has had similar events before at the Romanian embassy in Berlin, then in Chile, and today was the moment of Paris , in this beautiful gallery by Paul Amarica. A gallery with a not very large space, but I believe that strong, good, valuable essences are kept in small spaces.
I was very pleasantly surprised that many people knew about this gallery. I also enjoyed the presence of the ambassadors who visited the exhibition, Her Excellency Mrs. Simona-Mirela Miculescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania at the Permanent Delegation of Romania to UNESCO (Paris), DHC at the West University of Timișoara, and Excellency His Excellency, Mr. Luca Niculescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to France, the Principality of Monaco and the Principality of Andorra, President of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors from France (GAFF). Likewise, it was a joy to be visited by the director of ICR Paris, Mrs. Doina Marian, as well as by other dear friends of the UVT community in France.
However, we could not have organized the exhibition without the help of Paul Amarica and his friend and pianist Matei Rogoz, who is also a lecturer at UVT, good friends of UVT in Paris."
The project was led by Prof. Univ. Dr. Camil Mihăescu, dean of FAD, with the support of Mr. Dr. Matei Rogoz.
