The central headquarters of the West University in Timișoara will host, on December 4 2023, at 18:00, in Amphitheater A01, the launch of the video-animation exhibition "Voice and disability at the University", organized on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3).
The exhibition was made by students with disabilities from the Western University of Timișoara together with teaching staff from the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, within the action research project "Participation in the academic educational process during the Covid-19 pandemic through the eyes of students and students with disabilities from a university in Romania".
The initiative aims to highlight the voice of students with disabilities in order to contribute to the development of inclusive attitudes in the academic environment and in society.
The exhibition (in its preliminary version) can be viewed by accessing the link: https://www.universitateincluziva.org. The website contains both video-animations and audio descriptions of these animations, which can be listened to without visual support, bringing the experience of the exhibition closer to people to whom visual animations are not directly accessible. Audio descriptions can also be accessed on the exhibition playlist on YouTube platform.
