Bruno Maria Bradt retrospective exhibition, at UVT's Mansarda Gallery

The West University of Timișoara opens the academic year at the Faculty of Arts and Design with the retrospective exhibition Memory of the Passage, signed by the German artist of Romanian origin Bruno Maria Bradt.

Bradt painstakingly and uncompromisingly constructed his artistic message. He made difficult life choices that allowed him the freedom of uncensored expression. He supports his artistic career by working to exhaustion, for a unique and sustainable construction, with a clear concept and grand in its simplicity. He seeks and finds in each of his characters the imprint of the Supreme Creator, because one of the pillars of his life is Faith.

A selection of works that mark his return Bruno Maria Bradt, as a mature and established artist, in Timișoara of his childhood and adolescence is constituted in a narrative chronicle, assumed to be subjective - even confidential, of his entire life. This autobiography is transposed into an unusual vision and artistic style – the monumental drawing of Renaissance origins, having as its perpetual theme the humanity of contemporary characters, which makes his creation simultaneously classic and modern – a paradox that cannot go unnoticed.

The series presented to the Timișoara public are representative of the last decade - but, along with large-scale works, the exhibition also includes a series of studies, allowing the viewer an excursion into the artist's creative process and appreciation of the way he understands and draws the human body.

The fragment from « Paule », triptych « Family », his latest work – « The hope "," Nelu » – a tribute to his former teacher, Ioan Perciun, « David », as well as the series apostles, exhibited in part, are examples of Bradt's entire work - and were previously presented to a large audience in Germany and Romania, in museums, sacred spaces, galleries and art competitions.

The curator of the exhibition is Dr. Cristina Simion from Nurnberg, Germany.

Memory of the Passage can be visited at the Mansarda Gallery of the Faculty of Arts and Design – UVT, str. Oituz no. 4, between September 24 and October 24.

Under the aegis of "At UVT, Culture is Capital!", the exhibition is representative of the series of artistic manifestations that the Faculty of Arts and Design is preparing in the Mansarda Gallery.

The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "The Mansarda Gallery, opened at the Faculty of Arts and Design of UVT, is a living space of art when the works of established or up-and-coming artists are exhibited here. We invite you to enter the artistic Attic at UVT, for the exhibition event that includes the works of the German artist of Romanian origin Bruno Maria Bradt, an intercultural model that represents a landmark for our students."
