The project "Sports Infopoint- let's map our city by sports!", in which the Western University of Timişoara Sports Club is also a partner, will take place between May and October 2022 and proposes an event addressed to children and young people on June 10, in the Children's Park, an event that will represent both a promotion action of the Sports Academies, as well as a social action.
Here is the program of the event, in which we invite you to participate:
10.00: Opening of the event
10.00-12.00: Sports demonstrations (football, chess, sports dances, volleyball and rowing)
11.00-11.30: Press conference (in the presence of local authorities, sports ambassadors)
12.00-14.00: Sports demonstrations (rugby, fencing, handball, basketball, fitness)
14.15: Closing of the event
Infopoint Sportiv - let's map our city by sports! is a project initiated by the APOTIC Association and approved for financing by the Project Center of the Municipality of Timişoara within the "Community Impulse" Call, Smartcity field (https://centruldeproiecte.ro/rezultate/rezultate-impuls-in-comunitate-2022/). The project aims to create an IT platform, through which sports clubs will be mapped at the level of the local community.
The APOTIC Association (Association for career guidance of young people) came into being as a result of the interest in certain problems in the local community, as well as the desire to concentrate all resources for the optimization or improvement of some sectors in areas such as youth, education and sports.
"We believe that the best opportunity to popularize this project and bring it to the attention of the local community is through an action among children", declare the representatives of the APOTIC association. "Furthermore, we believe it is indispensable that the practice of sports be encouraged among children. In order for sport to be as attractive as possible for young people, it is necessary for them to interact directly with each other, as well as with the actors in the sports environment".
