The Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara will, next week, have as its guest Mrs. Dr. Octavia Spineanu-Matei, judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Judge Dr. Octavia Spineanu-Matei will deliver the inaugural lecture of the conference series "Judges of Europe. Europe of Judges", in which the Western University of Timișoara will host events that will have as guests the current and former judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights. The guests will discuss topics related to the cohesive power of law, through its international and regional dimension, in the context of an increased risk of fragmentation of Europe.
The inaugural lecture of Mrs. Dr. Octavia Spineanu-Matei, with the title "Europe of judges. Reality or wishful thinking?", will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, starting at 11 a.m., in the headquarters of the Western University of Timișoara, Bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4, Amphitheater A01.
