The building that houses the main headquarters of the Western University of Timișoara, on V. Pârvan boulevard no. 4, is one of the representative buildings of Timișoara, being also a work of indisputable value of Romanian architecture. The construction was designed by the renowned architect Hans Fackelmann, a landmark in the history of Romanian architecture after the Second World War, the project being awarded by CSCAS in 1964 and by the Union of Architects in 1967.
With the aim of revitalizing this symbolic building for our university center, UVT is launching to designers and architects, teams and design companies from Romania, the challenge to contribute with an innovative vision to the modernization of the facade of one of the most famous buildings in the central area of Timisoara, thus launching the solution competition for the rehabilitation of the main body of UVT.
The documentation can be accessed in SEAP/SICAP and corresponds to the announcement published in the "solutions competition" section with the code DC1000144/06.01.2021, being available online HERE. The value of the architectural design services in the solution contest is almost 380 thousand lei (without VAT), and the deadline for submitting offers is March 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
