On September 26, "Start" is called at the fourth edition of the UVT Liberty Marathon. The competition, which puts Timișoara on the road marathon map, brings together experienced runners, but also people who are new to running. From 2 to 42 kilometers there is a race for everyone. At the fourth edition of the competition, the medal is signed by Andreea Răducan, Olympic champion and multiple world champion. Thus, the tradition is preserved and the collection of runners awarded with medals signed by Olympic champions is enriched.
The kits will be distributed on Friday, September 24 (between 16:00 p.m. and 21:00 p.m.) and Saturday, September 25 (between 9:00 a.m. and 21:00 p.m.), and the sporting event will take place on Sunday, September 26, following a program presented in detail on WEB page of the 2021 edition and on social-media, where the participation conditions are also presented (presentation of the vaccination certificate / negative test at the time of picking up the kit).

G. Enescu → crossing Justice Park → right on Str. 20 December 1989 → right onto Bd. IC Brătianu → turn 180 to the left before entering the roundabout → Bd. IC Brătianu → right onto Str. Lucian Blaga → left through Piața Libertății → Str. VV Delamarina → left on Str. Mărășești → crossing Piața Victoriei (western side) → turning in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral → crossing Piața Victoriei (eastern side) → Str. Alba Iulia → right, through Piața Libertății → right, on Str. L. Blaga → ahead, on Str. December 20, 1989 → forward, on Bd. M. Viteazu → turn 180 to the right, before the intersection with Str. Sf. Rozalia → Bd. M. Viteazu → to the right, on Bd. V. Pârvan → UVT FINISH.
The start will be given in "waves" of participants.
We specify that the route will be closed to road traffic according to the schedule below:
00:00 – Closing of the Michelangelo passage
05:00 – Traffic closure on Bd. Vasile Pârvan for the installation of the start / finish area (the sector in front of UVT, between the intersection with Bd. M. Viteazu and the Michelangelo passage);
07:00 - Traffic closure along the entire route
17:00 - opening of car traffic
To meet drivers as much as possible, users of the Waze and Google Maps platforms will be guided in real time in the above interval to avoid traffic closures.
