The opening of the academic year at the Western University of Timișoara is a celebration where we will be joined by famous personalities of the academic and Timișoara community, as well as representatives of UVT's main strategic partners, from the business environment and from public institutions.
At this moment of starting the first semester of the new academic year, we will meet many of the talented young Olympians, whom we will invite for a well-deserved festive premiere. Our dialogue will be accompanied by the well-known chords of the Gaudeamus anthem, but also by a presentation film of the Timisoara university center, a UVT production through which we want to show the young "freshmen" of the first year, but not only them, what beautiful surprises they are waiting in Timișoara and in our university, which will be their second home from now on.
The first of the major events on the schedule for Monday, September 27, will be Opening celebration of the academic year 2021-2022. This will start at 10 a.m. and will take place on the stage located outside, in the parking lot in front of the UVT headquarters (V. Pârvan no. 4), and can also be watched live on the UVT Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/uvtromania).
Because "At UVT, Culture is the Capital!", the second top event of September 27 will include the awarding of the winners Spanish Poetry Translation Contest, which will be attended by HE, Mr. Manuel Larrotcha Parada, the Ambassador of Spain in Bucharest, diplomatic representatives of the Spanish-speaking European partner countries, but also representatives of the UVT management and the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology from UVT. The program of this awarding moment will start at 11.15 a.m., in the A01 amphitheater (where protective measures will be observed, according to Decision no. 70/16.09.2021 of the CNSU, with a maximum number of 40 people present in the amphitheater space).
Together with the long-term strategic partner, Nokia Romania, UVT succeeded in designing and equipping a space for research, testing and technological innovation, named NOKIA laboratory, where the new generations of students and researchers have access to an innovative technical platform at the world standards of the field. The inauguration of this new science and research space will take place starting at 13 pm (Laboratory 031, the new NOKIA Laboratory), in the third event of the day.
The event at the end of the opening day of the academic year at UVT is dedicated to the entire UVT community, but also to the Timisoara community in general. The festival "UNIVIBES by UVT".
