The West University of Timișoara accepted the invitation launched by the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) to participate in the Business Marathon event on May 3, 2022, organizing a career guidance workshop addressed to UVT students in the fields philology, economics, law, political science, philosophy, sociology, mathematics and computer science. The event was organized by the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) and the Francophone Business Club of Timișoara (CFAT), with the support of the Consular Agency of France in Timișoara.

During this workshop, the students had the opportunity to meet and discuss with representatives of some companies from the Franco-Romanian business environment, about career opportunities, internships, entrepreneurship programs, but also about their own professional path. On behalf of the companies, the event was attended by: Adriana Record (Executive Director CCIFER), Tatian Diaconu (CEO Nhood), Florin Ciocan (Ecosystem & Innovation Garage Manager NOKIA), Ariana Toma (Recruitment Specialist Deltatel), Anca Hepeș (HR Business Partner Deltatel Group) and Denisa Gongea (Recruitment Specialist Deltatel). The discussions within the Business Marathon event were moderated by Adriana Record, CCIFER Executive Director.

UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: The Business Marathon is a project aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the Franco-Romanian business environment, local authorities and universities, by organizing meetings and events around key themes for the stakeholders involved, namely the development projects of Franco-Romanian companies, the modernization of the system sanitary, technical skills and human resources, investments and financing launched and timely, from the perspective of the competitiveness and development of the western region of Romania.
