UVT organized, in partnership with MARSH, the third annual edition of the workshop dedicated to human resources specialists: "Connecting with our Business Community. Trends in HR"

The Western University of Timișoara assumes its transformative role in society, continuously developing the idea of ​​continuous adaptation of curricula, so that UVT students possess those skills that prove useful in achieving their professional ideals and career aspirations. Thus, it became natural for the best specialists from the socio-economic environment to be close to the projects and events organized by UVT, being convinced that in this way the students' knowledge and skills will better synchronize with the requirements of the real economy.

Today, the event was held at the Western University of Timișoara "Connecting with our Business Community. Trends in HR", the third edition, organized together with the specialized partner of these categories of events, the Marsh company, part of the global professional services company for consulting risk, strategy and human resources. More than a hundred HR specialists participated in the event, along with academics and researchers, those who train future employees, mentors involved in the training of future generations, oriented in this way to be adapted to the real needs of tomorrow's employers.

Professor Flavia Mirela Barna, vice-rector of UVT responsible for institutional partnerships, European project management and entrepreneurship: "I have the joy of conveying a message of openness and partnership with the economic environment of Timisoara, at this third edition of the event dedicated to human resources specialists, who meet at UVT. Interest in debating labor market trends and career development in companies in the real economy is growing, and this note is also visible in today's meeting, which is very well attended. The identification and analysis of emerging trends in the labor market gives us a very high expectation horizon for the employability level of UVT graduates, those who bring, generation after generation, a new breath and an essential human capital in the ecosystem of the local economy. Thank you for your continued contribution to the preparation of students for entry into their future careers and the right direction of their professional energies."

In the course of the event, there were the interventions of the following speakers: Mrs. prof. univ. dr. Flavia Mirela Barna, UVT vice-chancellor, Mr. Horațiu Regep, Marsh regional manager, Mrs. prof. univ. dr. Delia Vîrgă, director of the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology from UVT, Mrs. Alina Popescu, Talent Information Solution Leader, Mercer Marsh Benefits, Mrs. Diana Nastase, HR Director – EMEA HR BP – Health Solutions, Flex, Mrs. Simona Belea, General Manager, Continental Autonomous Mobility Romania, the debate being moderated by Mr. conf.univ.dr. Marius Matichescu, dean, Faculty of Sociology and Psychology of UVT.

During the debate, the new career platform developed by UVT was presented, which groups both the opportunities and job offers offered to students and graduates by companies in the local and regional real economy, as well as the professional profiles of young students and graduates, under form of CVs, a new online portal of human resources and career guidance which can be found at the web address: https://cariere-studenti.uvt.ro/, hosted by UVT.
