The first planetarium established in Romania, the one at the Western University of Timișoara, went through a stage of modernization and equipping with new generation equipment. Entered the international network of planetariums in 2023, the UVT Planetarium was installed almost sixty years ago by professor and rector Ioan Curea.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new functionalities installed after the modernization and equipping stage, we have the special pleasure of inviting you to participate in a demonstration workshop, organized for journalists from Timisoara, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, starting at 12 noon (UVT main office, V. Pârvan str. no. 4, Faculty of Physics, 2nd floor). The meeting will begin with a projection demonstration in the Planetarium, with photo opportunities for the press, and in the second part there will be press statements that will be offered by the representatives of the university and the relevant faculty.
