At the invitation to participate in the exhibition "CyberMoon: Exploring Art in the Age of Robotics" made by members of the CyberMoon robotics team made up of students from CD Loga National College in Timișoara, the Faculty of Arts and Design of the Western University in Timișoara proposed a series of works and projects that put "human creativity and technological ingenuity face to face" (Timișoara newspaper, Art in the Age of Robots, 15.02.2024 – article available at https://www.ziarultimisoara.ro/cultura/12429-arta-in-vremea-robotilor).
The product design projects of students enrolled in the Bachelor Design and Master Interior and Product Design study programs propose an alignment of conception models and prototyping methods with existing and future technology. "Students understood the opportunity to use the technology of the Unicorn Hybrid Black BCI (Brain Computer Interface) headset rather as a challenge to conceptually explore the form that will incorporate a special technology, the brain-computer interface. The interface, described to them as a direct communication path between brain activity and an external device, be it a computer or a synthetic limb that replaces an amputated limb, is a highly topical and generous subject for future explorations into the use and stylistics of new accessories. [...] The Unicorn Hybrid Black helmet, made available to us to know and understand the technology, the details, the working dimensions and the positioning of the electrodes, became for us the basis for the development of some creative concepts, imagined as common accessories belonging to a future of direct communication with the technology that surrounds us. The idea of a future commercial exploitation had to be translated into a format close to a clothing accessory, a format that should completely move away from the aspect of laboratory technology.
The proposal of the 3D printed phone case should be understood as a creative effort to move away from the aesthetics of mass-produced objects! Using the remarkable possibilities brought by 3D printing technology, the students' proposals had to impress with a brave and creative approach, a particular complexity of volume and surface detail and the practical value preserved, even if in a different form, as is the case of the concept found within the exhibition." – Alexandru Bunii

"With 4 3D sculptures that redefine sculpture in the digital age and a series of pictorial works that invite a comparative analysis between artistic sensibility and AI, 'CyberMoon' represents a real competition between man and artificial intelligence. Among the exhibits are paintings inspired by the works of artists such as Claude Monet or Pablo Picasso, but also their own creations, all of which have their counterpart created by artificial intelligence," say the representatives of the National Museum of Banat.
