Between March 27-31, 2023, under the auspices of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC) of the European Union, the Western University of Timisoara, in collaboration with the Cyprus Defense and Security Academy, organized the "Diplomatic Skills for CSDP" course.

Originally designed by UVT in direct correlation with ESDC, the course has become an integral part of the training offered by the College since 2021. 49 officials from 12 states (EU members and Eastern Partnership states) successfully participated in this edition. The course directors were Lt. Col. Symeon Zambas (Director of the Cypriot Academy) and Prof. Univ. Dr. Silviu Rogobete (UVT teaching staff).

The event benefited from the active support of the Romanian Embassy in Cyprus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus. The participation of UVT is yet another proof of the importance that the academic community in Timișoara attaches to the promotion of a security culture that contributes to the consolidation of liberal democratic regimes.
