"Unique" is the word we could use to describe the 23rd edition of the TimOrgelFest International Festival, held between October 1-29, 2023 in Timișoara. We will have virtuoso, passionate and innovative artists, most of them also performing their own arrangements and compositions. Named by the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung "a rising star", Lukas Hasler gives you a chance to listen Sonata of the Moon by Ludwig van Beethoven arranged for organ. Jonathan and Tom Scott, known to millions of fans around the world as Scott Brothers Duo they will delight you, among other things, with their arrangements of the opera's Overture The Magic flute by WAMozart and Moonlight by C. Debussy. Juan de la Rubia introduces you to the contemporary composer Philip Glass, and Pierre Lapprand and Etienne Manchon invite you to a spectacular jazz concert – an interstellar musical journey. In addition, you have the opportunity to listen to Eugenio Maria Fagiani, Luciano Zecca, Ensemble Vocal Crescendo (conductor Christian Ciuca), Felician Roșca, Cristina Struța and the students of the Faculty of Music and Theater from Timișoara. All this culminating in the extraordinary and extravagant presence of organist Cameron Carpenter, about whom The New York Times states that "everything he touches becomes fantastic and memorable".
A month full of events awaits us that will remain imprinted both in our memory and in our souls, and we can't wait for you to live these unique and fascinating experiences with us!
More details on each concert soon. Entry to all events is free.
