We invite you to participate on Tuesday, July 11, from 11 a.m., at the Western University of Timișoara (A01 amphitheater), to the presentation conference of the new wave of data from the multi-year study "The barometer of the quality of life in the Municipality of Timișoara". The data that will be presented reflect a new stage of sociological measurement and diagnosis, carried out in the Timisoara community between November 2022 and March 2023.

The rector of UVT, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, the mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, and the coordinators of the study, academics Marius Matichescu and Alexandru Drăgan, will participate in the conference.

The purpose of this research is to support the local public administration and all other responsible actors in the various fields of local interest in understanding the level and dynamics of various aspects of the quality of life of Timișoara residents. The obtained results provide guidelines for future public policies and contribute to optimizing the impact of the city's public investment projects.

Researchers in sociology, social geography and communication sciences from the Western University of Timișoara have developed, in collaboration with the Timișoara City Hall, a tool for measuring people's perception of the quality of their life in the community, according to the methodological norms in the field, on a representative sample. The questionnaire is structured on the analysis of the five dimensions used in the Quality of Life in European Cities Eurobarometer: satisfaction with the living conditions in the city, people's opinion of their city, satisfaction with environmental issues, satisfaction with personal life and identifying the three most important problems of the city.
