Day dedicated to sustainability at UVT, together with the Swedish Embassy in Bucharest and Guerrilla Verde

The Western University of Timișoara, in partnership with the Swedish Embassy in Bucharest and Guerrilla Verde, organizes a series of events dedicated to sustainability and good Swedish practices, within the Timișoara Ideas Fest, a large-scale project dedicated to ideas and people who inspire communities.

Friday, October 14, 2022, will be a day dedicated to the importance of protecting the environment under the theme "Connections, intersections, perspectives: the Swedish model in sustainability". HE Therese Hyden, Sweden's ambassador to Romania, will be present at the events. Participants will be invited to debate challenging ideas and propose solutions for a more sustainable city, with green cultural events.

The activities will take place in the entrance hall and in A01, according to the following schedule:

10.30 - 11.00 - Opening of the ReWaste Exhibition – an exhibition with examples of good practice from Swedish society regarding waste management and its transformation into resources.

11.00 – 11.45 – Debate: Sustainable Practices from Swedish Companies in Romania

"Connections, intersections, perspectives: the Swedish model in sustainability" is part of the Cultural Program "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture", the Oameni territory, the Reflectiţi station, is financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center, co-financed by the Timiș County Council.
