Conference Series "Portraits of Romanian Physicists" returns again this academic year, this time online, but with the presence of some brilliant guests of research and innovation in physics, Romanians who have distinguished themselves in this field.
The most recent event of this type, held LIVE, from the "Portraits of Romanian Physicists" series, had as a guest on physicist Cristian Presură, inventor of the optical sensor in the watch that measures the pulse, researcher at Philips Research Eindhoven, who held a dialogue together with university professor dr. Mădălin Bunoiu, vice-rector of UVT.
Cristian Presură is a very well-known name in Romania because, from the seriousness of the scientist, he ended up popularizing high science. In his books published at Humanitas, at the conferences he gives in Romania, on his YouTube channel, Presură uses an easy to understand and friendly language to explain physics in stellar dimensions or in the infinitesimal concentration of quantum.
