Submission of portfolios for the granting of credits for volunteering activity - the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024

In accordance with the provisions of article 82, paragraph (2) of Charter of the Western University of Timișoara (UVT), respectively of Regulation on the granting of credits for volunteer activity, approved by the UVT Senate, each semester, each UVT student can obtain how many 2 credits transferable for the deployment of volunteering.

Volunteer activities are recognized for credit only if they are carried out within a NGO registered in The UVT repertoire of NGOs or if it takes place within departmentsoptional or for the benefit UVT.

The activity of student representation (membership in the Faculty Councils, the UVT Senate, the UVT Board of Directors, the dormitory committees or in other commissions established according to the regulations, methodologies, procedures or decisions of the UVT or of the UVT faculties) and the unpaid activities carried out by UVT students within the various UVT component structures (e.g. departments, faculties, support in the organization of UVT events, support in the process of admission or promotion of the UVT educational offer, etc.) can also be recognized as volunteering.

The submission of portfolios for granting credits for involvement in voluntary activities carried out in the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024 can be done, according to article 9 of Regulation on granting credits for volunteer activity, until the 04. 02.2024 (for their evaluation in the AI ​​session), respectively until the date of21.02.2024 (for their assessment in the BI session). The portfolio will be submitted electronically via TO THIS FORM.

The contents of the portfolio are as follows:

  1. Activity report related to the volunteer activities carried out during the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024, on the basis of which the credits are requested - according to Annex 2 of the regulation;
  2. Related children diplomastitles or certification obtained as a result of volunteering activities – if appropriate;
  3. Certificate from the NGO registered in the NGO Directory of UVT or from the component structures of UVT attesting that the student has carried out volunteer activities within them with a duration of minimum 60 hours;
  4. Evaluation by the supervisor/coordinatorthe volunteer within the NGO or UVT component structure in which the volunteering activity was carried out - according Annex 3 of the regulation.

Portfolios for the granting of credits for carrying out volunteer activities will be evaluated at the faculty level by the end of the exam sessionand rating and credits obtained will be able to be viewed by students in their personal account on the StudentWeb platform.
